New product launches and demonstrations, along with top-notch continuing education, highlight the big week in New York.
By Stan Goff, Senior Managing Editor

Wednesday brought an end to another Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM), but not before several companies launched new products, many top speakers presented great lectures, and networking opportunities were abundant at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
This year’s meeting opened Friday, November 28, when the education slate began, while the exhibit hall was open November 30 through December 3. Sunday included a New Dentist Reception as well as the scientific poster session. The GNYDM announced that next year’s event will feature 3 days on the trade show floor instead of 4 days, as the exhibit hall will no longer run through Wednesday. The dates for the 102nd GNYDM in 2026 are November 29 through December 1 for exhibits, with the education courses beginning 2 days earlier on November 27 and running through December 1.
The Dentistry Today team was on hand in New York meeting with vendors and speakers and learning about the latest products and services. Here are just a few highlights from the week, with more to follow later at dentistrytoday.com.
Digital Dental Solutions from SHINING 3D
SHINING 3D Dental, a global leader in digital dental technology, recently launched Aoralscan Elf, a next-generation intraoral scanner designed to deliver unmatched ergonomics, intelligent automation, and clinical precision. The company’s new IntelliBite AI-powered occlusion optimization feature sets a new benchmark for restorative accuracy and workflow efficiency, as does the Intelligent Plaque Management Suite, a data-driven preventive care solution.

The Aoralscan Elite Wireless intraoral scanner is featured in the current issue of Dentistry Today as one of the Top 50 Technology Products of 2025.
SHINING 3D, which offers a comprehensive range of 3D digital dental solutions, starting with the acquisition of 3D data through lab and intraoral 3D scanners for clinics, showcased its many products at their booth, with Isaac Tawil, DDS, giving presentations on some of the newer technology offerings and digital workflows.
Dr. Tawil is the clinical director of TBS Dental and SHINING 3D and his webinar on intraoral photogrammetry can be viewed online at dentalcetoday.com.
New Products Pavillion
Attendees visited the New Products Pavillion for a quick look at several of the latest products and services offered by exhibitors. The displays provided a chance to get a close look at a few offerings but also let visitors know which booths to make sure they visited on the trade show floor.
PreXion
PreXion’s Excelsior PRO 3D CBCT—also a Dentistry Today Top 50 Technology Products of 2025 honoree—was on display at GNYDM along with other extraoral and intraoral imaging solutions currently available and new products expected to be released in early 2026.

In September, Alliage announced the business transfer of PreXion, a Japan-based company renowned for its precision dental CBCT imaging systems and legacy of technological innovation. The company’s manufacturing has shifted from Japan to Brazil and as part of the transition plan PreXion’s innovation center, currently located in Tokyo, will be relocated to California.
PreXion’s Oliver Frum showed the Dentistry Today team the Excelsior line that includes Excelsior Endo, Excelsior MAX and Excelsior MID, as well as the Evolve 3D and Evolve 2D extraoral imaging solutions.

Frum said the company has exciting launches just around the corner that will feature a new intraoral scanner and a portable x-ray system, to go along with the company’s digital sensors and software solutions, to cover all the bases.
Henry Schein Products
Dyan Jayjack from Henry Schein Handpiece & Small Equipment demonstrated the recently released ACCLEAN Cordless Hygiene Handpiece, engineered for high-powered, comfortable, and convenient cleaning and polishing. Distributed exclusively through Henry Schein, the ergonomic and lightweight handpiece is designed to enhance ease of use for hygienists while effectively removing tough stains for patients.
Featuring 2 replaceable batteries, ACCLEAN includes an optional wireless foot pedal for speed control, and 3 nose cones that allow for easy switching during procedures. Jayjack says the device is very powerful and doesn’t stall.
She also showcased the company’s newest ultrasonic cleaners in the Maxima line. Launched in the fall, the Maxima Advanced MA100 is powerful yet quiet, and its sharp design sends a strong esthetic message for practices, Jayjack adds.
The new unit features a 1.06-gallon tank, and its compact size meets the needs of practices with limited counter space while still holding 2 half size cassettes.
