The Toronto Institute for Dental Excellence (T.I.D.E.) is proud to announce the 1st annual “Implant Complications & Innovations Symposium” taking place in Toronto on June 2 to 3, 2017. This Symposium will be packed with two days of didactic and hands-on programmes. Day 1 will feature concurrent simultaneous sessions for clinicians and team members from distinguished speakers and dental specialists, while Day 2 will focus on hands-on training.
Implant dentistry provides a viable tooth replacement treatment modality and is considered as mainstream prosthetic dentistry. The benefits and advantages of dental implants for our patients are now being provided by clinicians of diverse disciplines, backgrounds and experiences. However, clinical realities and scientific literature has provided evidence of various modes of implant complications and failures. Complications and failures in implant dentistry can range from minor to major, reversible to irreversible and problematic to detrimental outcomes. As a result, these clinical problems can cause frustrations and disappointments for our patients and dental professionals.
To evaluate the various topics in implant complications and innovations, this symposium will address implant dentistry as an interdisciplinary team approach. The distinguished speakers and specialists will cover pertinent topics to identify the different modes of complications, aetiology, prevention and treatment of dental implant complications. Innovations that serve benefits and advantages to our patients and practices will be reviewed and addressed by various respective speakers.
