Several dental practices have been hit with data breaches and ransomware attacks so far this year.
Three updates:
1. Issaqueena Pediatric Dentistry experienced a ransomware attack affecting 501 individuals. An unauthorized actor gained access to certain files within its systems between Nov. 9 and 11. An investigation determined that the unauthorized actor accessed certain files, and the practice is currently working to determine whether personal information or protected health information was included in those files. The practice said it is unable to confirm whether it paid a ransom.
2. Grand Prairie, Texas-based Pecan Tree Dental experienced a data breach affecting 13,300 individuals. The practice launched an investigation after becoming aware of a cybersecurity issue affecting its computer systems.
3. 360 Dental, a dental practice in Philadelphia, experienced a computer security incident affecting 11,273 individuals. On Nov. 16, 2025, the practice identified an authorized party had accessed its internal computer system and locked certain files, which may have exposed information stored on the server.
