Here are the growth percentages for 10 dental specialists between 2001-2021:

General practice dentists: 21.77 percent increase (+28,471)

Oral and maxillofacial surgeons: 16.9 percent increase (+1,079)

Endodontists: 41 percent increase (+1,672)

Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedists: 17.8 percent increase (+1,656)

Pediatric dentists: 108 percent increase (+4,554)

Periodontists: 13.7 percent increase (+686)

Prosthodontists: 15 percent increase (+494)

Oral and maxillofacial pathologists: 1.6 percent increase (+7)

Public health dentists: 5.9 percent decrease (-157)

Oral and maxillofacial radiologists: 1,375 percent increase (+165)
