A Guide to a Beginner, Intermediate or an Advanced Implantologist

Where does your experience stand in Dental Implantology?
If implant dentistry is an ongoing process, how do we differentiate between a beginner vs. an intermediate or advanced practitioner?

The overwhelming field of implant dentistry has a continuous learning process. Certainly, it’s a little difficult for us practitioners to categorize ourselves based on our skills and experience. This step by step guide will help you to understand whether you’re a beginner level implantologist or an advanced implantologist. This guide has been written by Dr. Souheil Hussaini, a Master Implantologist, who has to his credit an experience of nearly 3 decades and 10,000+ implant cases.

Demonstrates mostly a 3 mm space between 2 implants with a 1.5-2mm space to the tooth.
Demonstrates the ability in parallel implants placement with an equal distance at the neck and the tip.
Demonstrates the ability to extract teeth with primarily using periotomes and keeping the surrounding bone, teeth and prosthesis unharmed and intact.
Demonstrates occlusally to have been mostly placed implants in the functional cusp area.
Demonstrates on the CBCT that a screw retained osteotomy was opted but not possible.

Demonstrates a 50% of performed cases with <30/70>Ncm torque at time of placement.
Demonstrates the ability to present a scientific article in a group.
Demonstrates the ability to present performed cases with reference to other literature.
ADVANCE:

Has a study circle to share placed, restored and PUBLISHED cases with modifications to improve existing ancillary procedures like block grafting, open sinus, PRF and 10 year follow up record.
