ADA pushes for increased funding for veterans’ dental care

The increased funding would enable dentists at VA Dentistry to provide dental care to veterans who are eligible for benefits, according to a Sept. 6 news release from the ADA.

The bill would establish administrative support for VA dentists who provide care to veterans and also create a pilot program for provisional dental care to certain veterans.

Approximately 15 percent veterans are currently eligible for dental benefits through Veterans Affairs, the release said.
