Three things to know:
- The committee approved four new codes relating to the treatment of sleep apnea, including screenings and fabrication of oral appliance therapy devices.
- The committee also approved 10 new codes, including for immunization counseling, 3D printing of a 3D dental surface scan, band stabilization per tooth and excisional biopsy of minor salivary glands.
- Revisions were made to clarify two existing codes concerning resin-based composite restoration and adding metal substructure to acrylic, full dentures per arch.
