The Australian Dental Council (ADC) has announced a significant update to the skills assessment component of its ADC assessment process as part of our ongoing commitment to procedures for candidates.
From today, candidates completing the ADC examination who also require a skills assessment for migration purposes will only need to supply evidence of registration, work experience, professional references and good standing following successful completion of both the written and practical examinations. This marks a change from the previous process, which required candidates to submit documents for the skills assessment before being eligible to sit the written exam.
Upon completion of the practical exam, candidates who need to obtain a skills assessment for migration purposes will be able to provide the required supporting documentation to the ADC. This service will be provided at no additional cost.
This change comes as part of the ADC’s ongoing commitment to streamline processes and reduce barriers for overseas-trained dental practitioners.
