Align Technology has launched a new integrated campaign aimed at raising awareness of Invisalign® treatment for younger patients. The initiative includes two complementary campaigns – one directed at consumers and another at dental professionals – designed to promote the benefits of early orthodontic intervention using clear aligners.
The “Invisalign for Kids” consumer campaign targets parents, providing education on the effectiveness of clear aligners for children and teens. It introduces treatment options such as the Invisalign® Palatal Expander System, Invisalign First™, and the Invisalign® System with mandibular advancement. Digital tools like Invisalign® Virtual Care are also highlighted, enabling parents to monitor treatment progress remotely.
Kamal Bhandal, senior vice president of global brand, consumer and Americas marketing, said: “Our new campaign is designed to increase awareness among parents that Invisalign aligners are an effective solution for kids and to educate them about the range of benefits. These include predictable results, support for oral hygiene and active lifestyles, and improved confidence.”
The “Growing Patients” campaign targets dental professionals and introduces a full suite of products designed for the unique orthodontic needs of developing patients. These include well-established tools such as Invisalign First™ as well as recent innovations like the Palatal Expander System and the 2025 launch of the Invisalign® System with mandibular advancement featuring occlusal blocks.
Dr Mitra Derakhshan, executive vice president and chief clinical officer for global treatment planning and clinical services, said: “Orthodontic treatment for growing patients must address both tooth movement and skeletal development. Align’s extensive portfolio enables doctors to treat a wide range of case types, including children as young as six. I believe these campaigns will build greater confidence in Invisalign treatment among doctors and parents alike.”
The campaign comes as part of Align’s year-long celebration of reaching 20 million Invisalign patients treated worldwide. It also reflects the company’s ongoing investment in the growing patient segment, which began in 2008 with the launch of Invisalign Teen. Since then, several notable milestones have been introduced:
- 2008: Invisalign Teen, with features for patient compliance, erupting teeth, and root control
- 2017: Invisalign System with mandibular advancement, the first clear aligner solution for simultaneous Class II correction and alignment
- 2018: Invisalign First™, designed for mixed-dentition patients
- 2023: Invisalign Palatal Expander System, Align’s first direct 3D printed orthodontic device
- 2025: Invisalign System with mandibular advancement featuring occlusal blocks, offering improved engagement and earlier mandibular advancement in deep bite cases
Michael Smith, vice president of product management, commented: “Our commitment is to support doctors through every step of the patient journey. This integrated campaign highlights our innovation in digital orthodontics and the comprehensive portfolio we have developed to treat patients from their first visit to the final smile.”
