BANDARBAN, Nov 16, 2025 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Army extended humanitarian support to the Mro community in Bandarban, offering medical care, educational materials, and sports equipment during a day-long initiative on Sunday.
Organized by the Alikadam Army Zone at Mro Complex, the program provided medical services to over 100 Mro men, women, and students. An army medical team offered general treatment, maternal and child healthcare, dental checkups, and distributed essential medicines.
Brigadier General SM Rakib Ibne Rezwan, Bandarban Region Commander, attended as the chief guest, discussing the community’s education, health, and basic needs while assuring continued Army support.
Alikadam Upazila Nirbahi Officer Manjur Alam, Police Officer-in-Charge Mirza Zahir Uddin, and Karukpata Union Chairman Kratpung Mro were present as special guests.
During the event, Brigadier General Rezwan distributed books, sports equipment, and greeting gifts to students, and provided cash assistance to community members. The initiative reflects the Bangladesh Army’s commitment to humanitarian and community welfare in the hill district.
