Main Concern
The patient had been missing all upper and lower teeth for many years. He had been using removable dentures, but the dentures had become loose and were affecting chewing function. He wanted a more stable fixed restoration.
Examination and Diagnosis
Clinical examination showed complete tooth loss in both arches. The edentulous ridges showed moderate alveolar ridge atrophy. CBCT evaluation indicated that the anterior implant areas had relatively favorable bone height, while the posterior areas had average bone height.
Treatment
Full-mouth implant rehabilitation was performed under local infiltration anesthesia. After anesthesia took effect, all remaining diseased teeth were extracted, and inflammatory granulation tissue around the root tips was carefully removed.
A horizontal crestal incision was made from sites 16 to 26 and from sites 36 to 46. The mucoperiosteal flap was elevated, the bone surface was leveled, and implant sites were prepared step by step to the planned depth.
Implants were placed as follows:
- MegaGen AnyOne implants were placed at sites 12, 14, 16, 22, 24, 26, 32, 34, 42, and 44
- Dentium implants were placed at sites 36 and 46, model 5007
- A total of 12 implants were placed: 6 in the upper arch and 6 in the lower arch
The implants achieved good primary stability. Multi-unit abutments were seated at the appropriate height, cover caps were placed, and artificial bovine bone graft material was added around the peri-implant jumping gaps. The surgical site was closed with tension-reduced sutures.

Why All-on-6 Dental Implants Were Selected
This case involved complete tooth loss in both arches and loose removable dentures. All-on-6 was selected to provide wider implant support for a fixed full-arch temporary restoration, based on CBCT evaluation, bone condition, and bite planning.
Same-Day Temporary Teeth
After implant placement, the patient received immediate loading with temporary fixed teeth. These temporary teeth help restore appearance and light function during healing, while the final prosthesis is planned after implant stability and tissue healing are confirmed.
