U.K. dentists left to fix dental tourism gone wrong

U.K. dentists are picking up the pieces from a rise in dental tourism. A new survey from the British Dental Association (BDA) reflects the rising trend in dental tourism and highlights the problems it has caused for both patients and practices. Out of 1,000 British dentists surveyed, 94% reported they had examined patients who had traveled abroad for dental treatment, and 86% reported treating patients experiencing complications following treatment abroad.

MediNiche launches supplement for dental implant patients

Dentaplex vitamin supplement developer MediNiche has released an osseointegration support supplement for dental implant patients called Bone-Tite. The supplement was developed in collaboration with prosthodontists and periodontists for patients who need nutritional support before and after dental implant procedures, the company said.
