AACD inaugurates new president

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) has inaugurated Dwight Rickert, CDT, as its new president. Rickert took office on April 21 during AACD’s 2017 annual session and will serve until AACD 2018 takes place next April. He has served on the academy’s written exam committee, budget and finance committee, and others. Rickets practices in Indianapolis.

New product: Komet adds crown cutter

Komet USA has introduced a new crown cutter to aid in removing adhesive-bonded, ceramic restorations. The 4ZRS Jackie crown cutter has been designed to create slits in all-ceramic crowns. Heraeus Kulzer names new president for U.S.

Heraeus Kulzer has named Jeremy Thomas as its new president for the U.S. and Canada. Thomas was also named head of the Americas region, effective April 24. He has worked in the dental and medical device fields, including 10 years at a manufacturing division of Ultradent Products. The company recently announced that will become known as Kulzer on July 1, 2017.
