BISCO’s All-Bond Universal is a versatile dental adhesive suitable for both direct and indirect restorations and can be used with any bonding technique

Whenever Cynthia Leung, DDS, and her staff open the doors to the practice’s supply cabinet, it’s inevitable that a fair number of materials tend to tumble out, a direct result of the Hoboken, NJ, practice’s busy restorative workflow. But despite a wide variety of restorative materials, the cabinet holds only 1 type of bonding agent, and it’s BISCO’s All-Bond Universal.
Sticking with What Works
“After initially trying many different brands of bonding agents, I finally settled on All-Bond Universal, and I have been using the product for about 10 years,” Dr. Leung shared.
A result of over 30 years of adhesive research at BISCO, All-Bond Universal is a reliable dental adhesive that can be used with either direct or indirect restorations. It has < 10-micron thickness and will bond to dentin as well as cut and uncut enamel.
True to its name, All-Bond Universal is compatible with all composite and resin-based cements. Plus, the single-bottle system does not require an additional activator.
High Strength, Fewer Steps
“All-Bond Universal has good bond strength,” shared Dr. Leung. “I like that I can use it for all my restorations, direct or indirect, and there’s no need to add activators, so it eliminates a step in the process.”
All-Bond Universal will bond to all substrates, and the versatile adhesive is formulated to be compatible with light–, dual-, and self-cured materials. Additionally, All-Bond Universal is not moisture sensitive, so it can be used on wet, dry, or moist tooth structure. Clinicians will find virtually no postoperative sensitivity, along with an ideal chemical balance that can be used with total-, self-, and selective-etch techniques.
“All-Bond Universal wets tooth surfaces well, and it doesn’t evaporate too fast during multiple restorative procedures, which helps to improve efficiency while we work,” Dr. Leung shared.
Featuring a low film thickness that allows the adhesive to easily flow into etched surfaces, All-Bond Universal also contains MDP monomers for enhanced durability.
“I know I can rely on All-Bond Universal over time,” added Dr. Leung. “I have patients who return after 6 months with braces that are still bonded to their teeth, which shows me that this adhesive continues to perform well over the long term. It works for me!”
