On Monday, October 13, China donated two advanced dental chairs to Cambodia to improve oral care for Cambodian children.
The donation was made by the Hainan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention through the Cambodian Youth Federation Doctors’ Union to the Cambodia National Children’s Hospital.
At the donation ceremony, Heng Sokhonn, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation and President of the Cambodian Youth Federation Doctors’ Union, expressed gratitude, noting that the donation further demonstrates China’s support for quality dental care for Cambodian children.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Hainan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention. This is not the first time China has supported Cambodia’s healthcare,” he said. “Cambodia and China are close friends, partners, and brothers, and we always support each other in any situation.”
Sokhonn emphasized that China’s assistance has not only promoted the modernization of Cambodia’s health services, but also safeguarded the well-being of the people, contributing to the building of a new Cambodia-China community with a shared future, with all-weather support.
Nep Aung Kbos, Director of the Cambodian National Children’s Hospital, thanked China for its long-term support for Cambodia’s healthcare sector. He said, “This aid will help improve the quality and efficiency of children’s dental care services.”
