Cube Click, Inc. has announced that its flagship device, SMILE Dx, has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The AI-powered diagnostic platform is designed to identify cavities, root canals, and periodontal disease at the radiographic pixel level, marking a major advancement in dental imaging.

According to Dr Richard Ricci, CEO of Cube Click, the dental AI imaging market is growing at a compound annual growth rate of 22.3%. “If SMILE Dx captures just 2% of this $3.1 billion market, that translates to $62 million in annual revenue,” he said. “At a conservative five-times revenue multiple, SMILE Dx could command a $310 million valuation. Under a more optimistic 10-times multiple, that valuation rises to $620 million, highlighting the significant upside potential for early investors.”

The FDA reports that dentists misdiagnose over 20% of cavities and root canal pathologies. SMILE Dx addresses this by delivering a 19% improvement in diagnostic detection, supported by multiple clinical studies. The cloud-based platform not only improves clinical outcomes but also helps dental practices grow by boosting patient engagement and treatment plan acceptance.

SMILE Dx is the first and only FDA-approved dental AI device compatible with both digital and phosphor plate sensors. It is also the first to be approved for detecting primary, secondary, and gross caries. The technology is protected by six awarded U.S. patents and three pending applications.

“SMILE Dx represents a significant market disruptor,” said Dr Andrea Cambria, CFO of Cube Click. “By dramatically improving diagnostic accuracy and treatment acceptance rates, we are unlocking substantial new revenue streams for dental practices—while creating a highly scalable, subscription-based business model for Cube Click.”
