Delta Dental of Idaho, the state’s individual dental benefits carrier, has announced the recipients of its “Autumn 2025 Oral Health Grant Programme”. Grants have been awarded to four non-profit organisations supporting community-based initiatives aimed at strengthening dental infrastructure, expanding access to care, and improving oral health outcomes for underserved populations across Idaho.
The 2025 grant recipients and programmes include:
• Desert Sage Health Centres
Supporting the redesign of a paediatric dental operatory at the Mountain Home clinic to create a more comfortable and supportive environment for young patients.
• Harmony Health Foundation
Launching “Smiles Connected Idaho”, a saliva-based teledentistry pilot designed to improve access to oral health assessments for underserved communities.
• Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children
Implementing “Start Smiling Idaho”, an oral health education and prevention pilot integrated into Early Learning Collaboratives throughout the state.
• Wellness Tree Community Clinic
Upgrading essential dental examination room equipment to expand the clinic’s capacity to serve low-income and uninsured patients.
Grant applications were assessed by a committee comprising Delta Dental senior leaders and an external dental professional, with evaluations based on demonstrated need, programme objectives, alignment with organisational mission and relevance to historically under-resourced communities.
“These organisations are carrying out vital work to reach Idahoans who face significant barriers to oral healthcare,” said Heather Brown, senior director of oral health and community outreach at Delta Dental of Idaho. “We are proud to support their efforts to ensure more children, adults, and families can access the care and preventive services they need.”
