DUBLIN, Ireland — Linda AI, a health technology startup providing voice-based AI for dental practices, has raised €2.6 million in an early-stage funding round led by 6 Degrees Capital.
The company said the funding will be used to grow its engineering team, establish a dedicated sales function and expand deployments across dental practices in Ireland and the UK.
Voice-enabled AI agents are gaining traction in healthcare as providers look to manage high volumes of patient interactions more efficiently. Industry-specific tools are proving more effective than general-purpose systems because they reflect clinical workflows and integrate with existing software. Dentistry has emerged as a strong use case due to heavy call volumes, complex scheduling and reliance on phone-based bookings.
Dental practices continue to manage most appointments by phone, yet more than 25% of inbound calls go unanswered, according to the company. For a typical four-site clinic, this can translate into more than €10,000 in lost monthly revenue. Linda AI’s agents operate around the clock, handling inbound calls during peak hours and after hours, confirming appointments and rescheduling within existing practice management systems without staff involvement.
“Missed bookings are largely a capacity issue,” said India Healy O’Connor, chief executive and co-founder of Linda AI. “Our system ensures practices don’t lose opportunities while front-desk teams focus on patient care.” The company was founded by Healy O’Connor and her sister, Portia, drawing on insights from growing up around their father’s medical practice.
Linda AI reports that clinics using its software see one in four new patient bookings generated through the system. Practices also report a 15% rise in overall bookings, a 30% reduction in no-shows and a 10% drop in front-desk administrative work.
Dr Annette Staunton, owner of Cube Dental in Ireland, said the platform integrates smoothly with cloud-based practice management and phone systems. She added that it has improved out-of-hours booking and appointment confirmations, particularly for patients who do not respond to text reminders.
Linda AI is now deployed across more than 50 dental sites in Ireland and the UK, working with major dental support organisations and high-volume independent clinics.
Christina Franzeskides, principal at 6 Degrees Capital, said the dental sector is operating at full demand but constrained by front-desk capacity. “Linda AI addresses this bottleneck with voice AI that enhances existing operations rather than replacing staff, delivering clear returns for practices,” she said.
