James Grant, DDS, and Brad Renehan, DDS, MD, of Colorado Springs, began developing Proximerge 2 after Dr. Grant heard from a patient in 2007 about food getting caught around her molar implants.
Quadric BioMed, the dentists’ company, received FDA clearance for the fifth iteration of the implant in October.
Dr. Renehan and Dr. Grant are preparing to begin a clinical study for the implant.
