Dentistry. One, Harmony Health Launch Saliva-Based Program to Expand Oral Care Access

Tennessee — Dentistry. One, a virtual-first dental care platform, has partnered with the Harmony Health Foundation (HHF) to launch a saliva-based oral health initiative aimed at underserved communities. The program, which begins in Tennessee, will expand to Idaho and additional states in the coming months.

The initiative provides saliva-based screenings to detect bacterial imbalances, inflammation, and early signs of gum disease or tooth decay. HHF collaborates with local partners, including public health clinics, food distribution networks, and wellness centers, to reach populations facing barriers such as transportation, cost, or lack of coverage.

Dentistry. One supports participants by interpreting results and offering personalized guidance. Services include preventive education, oral hygiene advice, virtual consultations, and referrals for in-person care when needed.

“Harmony Health Foundation is creating a scalable, community-driven model that brings oral health screening and education directly to the people who need it most,” said Brant Herman, CEO of Dentistry. One and MouthWatch. “Many patients don’t know what their symptoms mean or where to start. By combining saliva testing with virtual care, we extend dental expertise beyond the traditional office and provide anytime, anywhere access to personalized coaching.”

Kendra Flowers, interim executive director at HHF, emphasized the program’s accessibility. “Everyone deserves clear answers and an easy path to better health. By meeting people where they are and combining saliva-based screening with virtual care, we remove barriers and empower communities with early detection and actionable guidance.”

Dentistry. One’s platform allows both live and asynchronous consultations with licensed dentists. For cases requiring in-person treatment, care coordinators assist in scheduling appointments with nearby providers.

The Tennessee launch represents the first phase of HHF’s multistate expansion. Idaho is next, with plans to replicate the model nationwide, improving oral health outcomes through early detection, education, and accessible care.
