Dentsply Sirona and Rapid Shape has announced a collaboration to validate the Lucitone Digital Print Denture workflow and material system on Rapid Shape’s 3D printing solutions for digital denture manufacturing.
As the number of skilled dental technicians in the workforce declines, dental labs are under pressure to meet the increasing oral healthcare needs of a growing ageing population. This includes the need for efficient, consistent, and quality denture production. To address this challenge, Dentsply Sirona and Rapid Shape will make the Lucitone Digital Print Denture System, including the range of materials and validated workflows featuring BAM! smart polymer technology, more accessible.
The Lucitone Digital Print Denture System offers mechanical strength, tooth durability, and a platform for producing both full arch and partial dentures. It is available in 16 A-D* tooth shades, with two bleach options. Rapid Shape’s 3D printing solutions — from chairside to high-volume production — promote faster printing and greater efficiency. Integrated into the D50+ with the automatic separation module, Rapid Shape enables fully automated production of up to 120 dentures across six print jobs, eliminating manual intervention.
Delivering speed and efficiency to labs
Validating all Lucitone Digital Print materials for Rapid Shape printers for both premium and economy dentures — Lucitone Digital Print, Lucitone Digital Value, Lucitone Digital IPN, Lucitone Digital Fuse, and the Digital Cure Units — will enable dental laboratories to meet the increased demand for quality dentures without deferring to complex assembly methods or long processing times.
