Recently, the company announced the availability of new diagnostic and consultation features accessible in DS Core. Now, with the latest CEREC expansion, it further simplifies workflows by integrating upgraded functionalities directly into the DS Core platform — making them accessible from virtually anywhere.
In this initial phase, dentists can receive AI‑powered margin and design proposals for crowns, inlays, and onlays directly within DS Core, guided by a workflow assistant. Future releases will expand the range of indications available, reinforcing Dentsply Sirona’s commitment to streamlining clinical processes through intelligent digital solutions.
This integration introduces a new level of openness to the CEREC ecosystem. By enabling STL exports of CEREC designs and supporting select third‑party scanners, it offers dental professionals greater flexibility in how they work — enhancing collaboration and interoperability while maintaining the streamlined experience for which the CEREC system is known.

Moreover, milling units can be accessed remotely for error reporting and log file sharing, reducing troubleshooting time and minimizing downtime. DS Core Care provides additional peace of mind to dentists, offering comprehensive technical service and support for equipment, such as spare parts and preventive maintenance. And thanks to the connection to DS Core, it goes beyond by enabling remote and real‑time fast service clarification.
New Milling Solutions to “Experience the CEREC Workflow Your Way”
While CEREC Primemill continues to serve as the premium tier, high‑performance system, the announced milling solutions aim to give dental professionals more options to join the digital journey on their terms.
CEREC Primemill Lite offers a broad range of indications and material classes, including bridges, veneers, and implant work, in a budget‑friendly format. With two motors and full compatibility with CEREC Software 5.3.4 and the new CEREC workflow on DS Core, it is a great solution for growing practices ready to expand without committing to the premium tier.
CEREC Go is an easy‑to‑use wet‑grinding unit designed specifically for composite and hybrid ceramic restorations. It requires no furnace or on‑premise software, just a DS Core subscription. It is purpose‑built to transform complex Class II restorations from a challenging manual procedure into a digitally supported workflow. In many ways, this reflects the origins of the CEREC system in the 1980s, now reimagined through the lens of advanced digital technologies like AI. Paired with the intuitive CEREC workflow on DS Core interface, CEREC Go enables new users to get started on in‑office milling with minimal training and simplified setup. CEREC Go will be available in select markets at launch, with initial availability not including the United States and Canada.
New Super Fast Grinding Mode: Hybrid and Composite Restorations in 4 Minutes
All three milling units support Super Fast Grinding Mode, enabling rapid grinding of composite and hybrid ceramic restorations — crowns in as little as 4 minutes³ and inlays in around 2 minutes³. With no heat treatment required, dentists can seat complete restorations faster and with fewer steps. CEREC Primemill also offers the Super Fast Milling Mode, allowing milling of a zirconia crown in around 5 minutes³. Additionally, its Extra Fine Milling and Grinding Modes allow dental professionals to produce very fine fissure details and smooth occlusal surfaces.
CEREC Cercon 4D: New Zirconia Blocks
Complementing the technology updates are new CEREC Cercon 4D zirconia blocks. They combine over 1,100 MPa⁴ flexural strength with a proprietary 3D layering technology that replicates natural dentin and enamel, enabling highly esthetic restorations with minimal wall thickness — 0.5 mm for crowns and 0.6 mm for bridges. They are available as mono, medi, and abutment versions and covering a variety of restorations (crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, veneers, and implant‑supported restorations).
