Dentsply Sirona, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, partnered with TeamSmile, the Carolina Panthers, and the Rho Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority to host a free dental clinic for underprivileged children in Charlotte in late January. The event, aimed at increasing access to essential dental care, provided no-cost services and oral health education for 172 children.
The clinic offered a variety of dental services including X-rays, cleanings, fillings, sealants, and extractions. The total estimated value of the services provided exceeded $68,000. In addition to the dental care, the event featured activities designed to engage the children, such as meet-and-greets with mascots and cheerleaders, as well as a DJ and face painters.
Dentsply Sirona employees volunteered to support the event, contributing to its success and ensuring a positive experience for all attendees. The collaboration is part of the company’s sustainability program, “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World,” which focuses on improving access to oral health.
