, ,The Human Rights Campaign’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index gave a perfect score to Henry Schein for its ongoing work promoting LGBTQ equality. With the foremost benchmark survey measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ equality, Henry Schein joined 767 other major companies earning positive marks for:, ,1. Nondiscrimination policies across all business entities, ,2. Equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families, ,3. Supporting an inclusive culture, ,4. Corporate social responsibility, ,The company’s own LGBTQ employee resource group, PRIDE & ALLIES, was launched to enhance, foster, and preserve an inclusive workplace where LGBTQ employees are ultimately empowered. The group regularly hosts marketing, philanthropic, and recruitment events to help foster engagement both within the company and in the public. Each June there is a 5K walk in celebration of Pride Month, as well as ongoing forums encouraging relationships with small and independent businesses, with a focus on ethnic-, women-, veteran- and minority-owned companies., ,The group also hosts “Revelations,” a series of candid conversations about topics including coming out, breaking down barriers, and developing inclusive environments and trusted relationships both at work and within the community at large. The goal is to help create camaraderie and provide a safe space to discuss issues during the pandemic when many employees were working from home., ,“It is our mission,” said CEO Stanley M.
