Zirconia is increasingly being used for crowns, and because those teeth may require endodontic treatment in the future, access through the ceramic material can be a challenge. SS White’s Great White Z Diamonds remove zirconia for easier access, making this aspect of treatment more stress-free.
Once the metal substructure of a porcelain-fused to metal (PFM) crown is exposed after clearing the ceramic on top, SS White’s Great White Burs can easily cut through the metal to access the underlying tooth below. These carbide burs also work well when removing an old PFM crown—all with little to no trauma to tooth or core material under the crown.
The design of SS White’s EXIMIA7 rotary files offers extreme flexibility, reducing shape memory and thus preserving canal anatomy. The constant taper with its variable pitch and maximum flute diameter of 1 mm allows for minimally invasive preparation, enabling clinicians to preserve tooth structure and improve long-term survivability of treated teeth.
SS White’s PURE-Ca-SEAL is a newer bioceramic sealer with high alkalinity, which provides antibacterial properties within the canal system and at the apical foramen. It’s also premixed in a syringe for direct placement into the canal system. In addition to being hydrophilic, PURE-Ca-SEAL is biocompatible, which means that any sealer extruded apically won’t cause inflammatory issues. Plus, it won’t dissolve once set.
