The long-awaited relocation of Springburn Dental Practice has finally become a reality, as the team opens the doors to their brand-new premises at the foot of Millarbank Street.
Originally slated for a Christmas 2024 launch, the opening was delayed by unforeseen issues. Those challenges have now been resolved, and the practice is fully operational.
The new facility, now rebranded as Millarbank Dental, marks a fresh chapter for the dedicated dental team. We spoke with Dr. Clare Murphy, who leads the practice alongside associate dentists Dr. Katie Abercrombie, Dr. Kerri Stevenson, and Dr. Niamh McInnes, about their exciting move.
“We’re thrilled to finally welcome patients into our new space,” said Dr. Murphy. “It’s been a journey to get here, but we’re settled and looking forward to this new beginning. We chose to rename the practice to Millarbank Dental to reflect both our fresh start and our new address.”
Joining the growing team is Dr. Caitie Diamond, bringing the number of practicing dentists at Millarbank Dental to five. A sixth dentist is scheduled to join in September, expanding the practice’s capacity even further.
Previously located in Hillkirk Street Lane, the practice has now moved for a second time in partnership with ng homes. This latest move was necessary to accommodate increased demand and to better serve the local community.
Expanding NHS Dental Care in North Glasgow
Millarbank Dental currently cares for more than 5,000 registered NHS patients. With the expansion, the practice is now able to open an additional NHS patient list—helping those struggling to access public dental care.
“Our aim is to improve oral health across the community,” Dr. Murphy explained. “We’re committed to making NHS dentistry accessible to patients in North Glasgow and beyond.”
A Focus on Comfort and Care
The new facility features five fully equipped, modern dental surgeries designed to create a calm and welcoming environment. The design intentionally avoids the cold, clinical aesthetic many people associate with dental clinics.
Millarbank Dental is also a sedation practice, offering treatment options in a relaxed and safe setting—particularly helpful for nervous patients or those with dental anxiety.
The team provides a full range of dental services, including treatment for oral and dental diseases, as well as cosmetic procedures such as tooth whitening and orthodontic solutions.
