Discolored Dentition: From Diagnosis to Treatment—Simple Solutions to Complex Care
Presented by: Dr. Richard Trushkowsky
In this CE webinar, Dr. Trushkowsky will explore the causes, diagnosis, and management of discolored dentition, with particular emphasis on white spot lesions and dental fluorosis. Participants will learn how to differentiate intrinsic and extrinsic discoloration, assess lesion depth using transillumination, and develop a systematic approach to treatment planning.
Through real clinical cases, attendees will discover how to sequence care from simple, conservative therapies—such as bleaching and microabrasion—to more advanced options, including resin infiltration and restorative intervention, with the goal of achieving predictable esthetic outcomes while preserving natural tooth structure whenever possible.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Differentiate intrinsic and extrinsic causes of discolored dentition.
- Apply diagnostic tools, including transillumination, to guide treatment planning.
- Sequence treatment from conservative therapies to advanced restorative interventions.
- Select appropriate clinical techniques to achieve predictable esthetic outcomes while preserving natural tooth structure.
