Seeing What the Eye Can’t:
Objective Monitoring of Teeth and Implants Using Quantitative Percussion Diagnostics
Presented by: Cherilyn Sheets, DDS
In this CE webinar, Dr. Sheets will discuss the limitations of traditional, subjective diagnostic methods used to assess the structural health of teeth and implants. The program introduces FDA-cleared Quantitative Percussion Diagnostics (QPD), a radiation-free technology that provides objective data for monitoring teeth and implants over time. Through real clinical cases, attendees will learn how objective structural diagnostics can be applied to improve early detection, treatment planning, implant stability decisions, and patient communication.
Learning objectives:
Participants will learn how to:
- Use objective data to monitor teeth and implants for overall and internal mobility
- Identify early structural issues before failure of deteriorating restorations and loose crowns
- Apply quantitative diagnostics to implant stability and monitoring
- Improve patient communication and case acceptance
- Integrate QPD into everyday clinical workflows
