TYLER, Texas — The Tyler Junior College (TJC) Dental Center will host a free dental clinic for children ages 4-11 on Nov. 8, aiming to make dental care more accessible for families.
Scheduling conflicts often prevent children from receiving care, as missing school or parents taking time off work can be difficult, said Christina Horton, TJC dental hygiene professor.
The clinic, held at the TJC Dental Center in the Rogers Nursing and Health Sciences Center at 1200 E. Fifth St., allows dental hygiene and certified dental assisting students to gain hands-on experience while treating children under faculty supervision.
Services offered include routine preventive care such as evaluations, sealants, and fluoride treatments.
Appointments are required, and space is limited. Parents or guardians can schedule by completing the form available on the TJC website.
