Free Dental Care Initiative Promotes Healthy Smiles for Bright Little Ones Students

Colgate partnered with the Smile Clinic to provide free dental exams to approximately 70 students at Bright Little Ones Nursery School as part of its Oral Health Month activities.

Colgate representatives spoke to the children about the importance of brushing their teeth twice a day for two minutes to maintain strong teeth.

Colgate General Manager Adrian Romanin told Fiji Village News that the company works closely with the Ministry of Health to visit villages and communities across the country to distribute free dental kits and raise awareness about oral health.

The Smile Clinic conducted free dental assessments to evaluate the students’ oral hygiene. Chief Dentist Dr. Sagar Dang emphasized the importance of early dental care, citing international research showing that children who have cavities in their baby teeth are 220% more likely to develop cavities as adults.

After the exams, the children received free toothbrushing kits to encourage continued dental care at home.
