An exciting celebration is hapening in Canada, Gold Cup Parade Day; is celebrated mainly in the city of Charlottetown on the third Friday in August. Gold Cup Parade Day
This great island tradition started more than 60 years ago and was founded by Frank Acorn and Bill Hancox. invites Charlottetown citizens to enjoy the celebration, both the Saucer Race (1960) and the Gold Cup Parade (1962), spend time with your family and friends and if you can participate in a race. Every year hundreds of participants enter their cars to the competition, traveling through the routes and offering fun and thrills for children and adults of all ages. The parades will feature numerous of outdoor activities, some of these will be:

- Marching Bands
