Halloween Dental Damage: Report finds the most dangerous candy in America

A new study by Shiny Smiles Veneers says less than half of Americans avoid certain candies for dental reasons, and 52% of braces wearers do eat candy they shouldn’t.
That means parents are shelling out cash for more than Halloween costumes.
Over a third of Americans have had candy-related accidents to their teeth. On average, fixing a dental issue caused by candy can cost more than $500.

According to the report’s key findings:

● Jawbreakers, Jolly Ranchers, and Bit-O-Honey are the most dangerous Halloween candy for your teeth.

● Teeth sensitivity, tooth pain, and damaged fillings/crowns are the top dental issues Americans experience from eating candy.

● Americans have spent $538.28, on average, fixing their teeth after a dental accident caused by candy.
