The Indonesia Dental Exhibition & Conference (IDEC) 2025 concluded its fourth edition at the Jakarta International Convention Centre (JICC) following three days of exhibitions, scientific sessions, and industry networking. Organised by Koelnmesse and Amara Group in cooperation with the Indonesian Dental Association (PDGI), this year’s event continued to strengthen its role as a key meeting point for the dental sector in Indonesia.
IDEC 2025 recorded a rise in participation, welcoming 757 conference delegates and a total of 5,620 attendees from across the country. More than 250 exhibiting brands from 11 countries took part, including three international pavilions representing China, Italy, and Korea. The exhibition space featured a broad showcase of products and solutions across digital dentistry, imaging, restorative materials, and clinical technologies.
The scientific conference and hands-on workshops saw a significant increase in attendance, with delegate numbers doubling compared with the previous edition. Sessions delivered by both international and local speakers received positive feedback for their practical content and focus on current challenges and emerging developments in the field of dental practice. Delegates noted that the programme contributed to professional learning and supported Indonesia’s growing position as a regional hub for continuing dental education.
Mathias Kuepper, managing director and vice-president Asia-Pacific of Koelnmesse, commented that the level of engagement reflected ongoing growth within Indonesia’s dental sector. Etty Anggraeni, managing director of Amara Group, highlighted the event’s role in supporting collaboration and education within the profession.
IDEC 2025 chairperson, drg Himawan Halim, noted that the scientific programme, held under the theme “The Transformation of Dental Health Resiliency”, attracted the highest number of delegates to date and covered a range of topics, including endodontics, periodontics, and digital dentistry.
Several exhibitors shared positive impressions of their participation. Randall J Drumm, director of international sales at Garrison Dental Solutions, stated that IDEC offered opportunities to meet dental professionals and engage with distributors. Fabio Catellani, foreign office manager from UNIDI, observed that the Italian Pavilion benefited from coordinated support between local and international partners. Returning exhibitor Belanja Gigi’s Mr Marcell from marketing remarked on the consistently strong turnout and interest at IDEC.
Visitors also expressed satisfaction with the event. Conference delegate drg Novia Setyowati cited the relevance of the scientific sessions and opportunities to explore new technologies, while exhibition visitor drg Dick Yonathan noted the variety of products available to support clinical needs.
Both exhibitors and visitors commented on the event’s active atmosphere and the opportunities it provided for networking, partnership development, and product showcasing.
