TV presenter Josie Gibson is on the mend just a week after undergoing brachioplasty, a procedure that included liposuction and an arm lift to address her lipoedema. The condition, which causes abnormal fat buildup in the limbs, often brings pain, swelling, and easy bruising.
Gibson, mother to seven-year-old son Reggie, reassured fans she is feeling well following the surgery. “I just felt gross whenever I was in a vest top, and I just want to go out in the summer and feel alright when I put a vest top on,” she explained.
She detailed the procedure on social media, saying she had approximately 45% of her arm tissue removed. “I’ve had liposuction on my arms, and then I’ve had an arm lift, because the lipoedema is on my arms as well,” she said.
Despite the significant surgery, Josie emphasized her recovery has been smooth. “The only thing that has been annoying about it—there’s been no pain, but it just stopped me in my tracks,” she said. Simple daily tasks, such as taking out the bins, became challenging during her recovery.
The presenter praised her medical team, saying, “Paul Tulley and his team were amazing. I felt really relaxed because I was nervous, but they’ve been incredible.” She plans to return to London next week to have her bandages removed and share an update with her followers.
“I did have it done a week ago today, and I feel great. Considering I’ve had 45% of my arm removed, I feel really, really good,” Josie added.
