Tito Albino, EFDA, MAADOM, is talking about the annual American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM) conference, a “can’t miss” event that’s an energizing blend of workshops, specialized courses with industry experts, roundtable discussions, vendor exhibits, and plenty of time to mix and mingle. A conference attendee for several years, Albino recalls 2 of his most memorable moments.
“Dr. Roy Shelburne shared his unimaginable experience with healthcare fraud, and his words touched every single person in that room—there was not a single dry eye! His message has stayed with me to this day. That same year, Teresa Duncan delivered her powerful ‘Leave the Ladder Down’ speech, which deeply resonated with me, making me realize the importance of mentorship in practices. I’ve worked hard to embody that ever since.”
Albino remembers being named “Office Manager of the Year” at AADOM24, an honor he regards as a highlight of his career and a far cry from his humble beginnings in poverty. Over the years—and with a little help from AADOM—he worked his way up the dental career ladder and achieved his current job as Regional Manager of Ammar Mousa & Associates Dentistry, a multilocation practice about an hour north of Orlando, FL.
“At my first AADOM conference, I was managing a single private practice,” Albino recalled. “Since then, I’ve grown into my role as a regional manager, and AADOM has been a major part of my leadership journey.”
