Onaka Grove, a young woman from Marinette, Wisconsin, is experiencing rapidly deteriorating medical conditions, and her family is urgently seeking financial assistance.
Onaka, who is undergoing chemotherapy for a brain tumor, has developed serious dental complications during her treatment, including several broken teeth, which are causing ongoing pain and the risk of infection, which has even begun to spread.
Her doctor recommended immediate dental surgery to remove several damaged teeth and perform necessary restorative work to ensure her health and recovery.
However, the dental work is not covered by insurance, and the cost of the surgery is prohibitive for her family.
After numerous unsuccessful attempts, the Grove family finally found a clinic willing to perform the surgery, but they would have to pay for it themselves.
To raise the funds needed, the family launched a GoFundMe campaign, appealing to the public for assistance to help Onaka alleviate her pain, ensure she can successfully complete her cancer treatment, and avoid the further health risks associated with her dental problems.
Additionally, the local community will be hosting a lemonade and bake sale at Britties CB, 1309 13th Street, Menominee, Michigan, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 26th. All proceeds will benefit Ohnaka’s medical and dental care.
The sale will include a variety of baked goods, glasses for $10, and lemonade glasses for $15. Community members are encouraged to participate or make reservations in advance through organizers to support Ohnaka’s efforts during this difficult time.
