McCarl Dental Group, a long-standing dental practice serving the Maryland community for more than 90 years, has announced its rebrand as Shipley’s Dental Care, alongside a change in ownership. The new identity reflects the practice’s strong ties to Millersville and its ongoing commitment to delivering advanced dental care in a welcoming, family-focused environment.
“While our name is changing, our values, team, and dedication to our patients remain the same,” said Dr Michelle Perez, owner of Shipley’s Dental Care. “We are proud to carry forward the McCarl family’s legacy of excellence while embracing a new identity that reflects both our location and the next generation of care.”
Under Dr Perez’s leadership, Shipley’s Dental Care continues to operate as a locally owned, independent practice, offering personalised dentistry in a supportive setting. The practice has expanded its services to include Botox for TMJ disorders and cosmetic smile makeovers, health-centred dentistry through Simple Perio, and advanced digital treatment technologies.
Dr Perez has also recently pursued accredited member status with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) — a prestigious distinction held by fewer than 500 dental professionals worldwide. The accreditation recognises excellence in cosmetic dentistry through a rigorous process involving clinical case submissions, written and oral examinations, and peer review.

The rebrand to Shipley’s Dental Care highlights the practice’s Millersville roots and close connection to the local community. Patients will notice a refreshed visual identity featuring hand-drawn, nautical-inspired watercolour illustrations — complete with anchor and boat motifs inspired by the surrounding waterways — along with a redesigned website and an expanded range of preventive, restorative and cosmetic dental services.
