All of the NADG and MDP locations will now use IRIS—the first imaging software with AI natively embedded from image capture to diagnosis.

Overjet’s IRIS Smart Imaging solution is designed to improve dental practice efficiencies and improve patient care, and the technology is now being implemented into hundreds of additional practices across the country.

Overjet, a world leader in dental AI, last week announced a full rollout of its IRIS Smart Imaging solution into all 240 of North American Dental Group (NADG) locations across 15 states. This marked a significant step forward in enhancing operational and clinical efficiency and patient experience for NADG’s network of dental professionals. Today Overjet announced a full-scale rollout of the solution across all 147 Mortenson Dental Partners (MDP) locations, spanning 9 states and serving nearly 1 million patients each year. This strategic implementation positions Mortenson at the forefront of dental technology adoption, reinforcing its mission to deliver exceptional care to all.
“When NADG first piloted IRIS in some of their clinics, very quickly, they found out that their staff was not as efficient as well as of course, as using Overjet AI on every patient interaction. You have to train people to use it now, because it’s always on. It’s always working. Before this, people had to turn things on and off. They’ve made a decision to roll it out across their whole group, so it’s just automatic,” Wardah Inam, CEO and founder of Overjet, told Dentistry Today.
“It’s not like, ‘oh, maybe I’ll try AI on this patient, or maybe this person will work on AI, or someone else in the team might not always.’ With IRIS it’s just going to be a constant, regular part of the workflow.”
IRIS is the world’s first Smart Imaging software, combining crystal-clear image capture with FDA-cleared AI analysis in a single, easy-to-use platform. By integrating imaging and AI into 1 workflow, the solution helps dental practices streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve patient care.
Key benefits of IRIS Smart Imaging include:
- One-click workflow to capture images and view AI insights instantly.
- Cost savings by consolidating multiple software subscriptions into 1 system.
- FDA-cleared Image Enhancement for sharper, clearer images.
- Sensor-agnostic compatibility, working with most existing sensors in use today.
- Cloud-based storage with offline access for ultimate flexibility and no storage costs.
“The first thing here is that, we believe the future is AI native imaging software,” Inam added. “This hasn’t happened before. You’ve had AI and you have had imaging software, and we’ve had these integrations that people have had to do. Usually, 2 companies are involved. They’re weakly integrated together, and you’re not looking at AI from end to end. With Overjet IRIS, for the first time, you’re looking at AI from capture. The best quality image is being captured—it is beginning with the clearest image that you can have. Then all the way from the templates that you create, they’re happening automatically and then you’re seeing AI findings that you know people are used to, or that some people are [still] getting used to.”
Having AI natively integrated end to end in the workflow completely changes the game in terms of diagnosis and efficiency, she explained, and “in terms of cost, because now you don’t have to pay for 2 different softwares. It’s a no brainer.”

The NADG—and other dental groups— seem to agree.
“Investing in IRIS was an easy yes. Two of our values are excellence and integrity. Bringing technology to our patients that is at the forefront of clinical diagnosis is just the right thing to do. It gives them a better experience, allows for better clinical outcomes, and most importantly, builds trust.” said Paul Reda, CEO of North American Dental Group.
NADG is committed to excellence and innovation, equipping dental professionals with advanced technology and training to deliver exceptional care in every community. By adopting IRIS, they’re enhancing efficiency and elevating every patient visit—creating a more seamless, compassionate, and state-of-the-art experience for patients and clinical teams alike.
“NADG has been an incredible partner in bringing IRIS to life at scale,” added Inam. “Their commitment to innovation and quality patient care makes them the perfect DSO to lead this transformation and IRIS the standard to provide the ultimate patient experience.”
With this rollout, NADG joins a growing number of forward-thinking DSOs and dentists adopting IRIS Smart Imaging, now in use at hundreds of clinics. Today’s news that Mortenson Dental Partners is adopting the technology is further proof that dental AI is impacting more and more practices and patients each day.
“We are excited to partner with Overjet to bring its IRIS Smart Imaging solution to MDP-supported practices. With IRIS, we will modernize our imaging infrastructure, which will enhance our operational efficiency and clinical care,” Britt Bostick, DDS, chief dental officer at Mortenson, said in today’s press release. “We look forward to utilizing IRIS to streamline workflows, improve compliance and support the delivery of high-quality patient care across all practices.”
NADG operates 240 offices across 15 states, bringing smiles to millions of patients every year. They serve general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, multi-specialty, and orthodontics. MDP is one of the largest groups of doctor and employee-owned dental support organizations in the United States. Beginning as a single practice in 1979, MDP has grown to support 147 practices across 9 states, welcoming nearly one million patient visits each year. MDP supports dental practices offering a comprehensive range of services, including general dentistry, pedodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics and endodontics.
