The nonprofit Neighborhood Health Clinic in Naples recently received a $20,000 grant from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation’s Access to Medicaid program to provide low-cost oral health services to underserved adults.
According to the clinic, nearly 70% of its patients suffer from conditions related to heart disease and diabetes, and poor oral hygiene often complicates their treatment.
All direct patient services are provided by licensed medical volunteers, enabling the dental clinic to play a key role in preventing systemic infections.
In 2024, the volunteer team served over 12,000 patients and performed 30,000 procedures.
Through volunteer time, in-kind donations, and pro bono services, the clinic achieves a sevenfold return on every dollar donated.
