The Connecticut Foundation for Dental Outreach (CFDO) successfully delivered over $1.2 million worth of free dental care to 1,172 patients during a two-day clinic held at New Britain High School. This 18th edition of the Connecticut Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic (CTMOM) exceeded its initial goal of treating 1,100 patients, highlighting the pressing demand for accessible dental services.

“CTMOM has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of life for all through necessary dental care. The City of New Britain proved to be an excellent partner in helping us extend our mission to even more patients than anticipated,” said dr laurence levy, chair of the CFDO.

The clinic, which welcomes individuals unable to afford dental treatment, operated on a first-come, first-served basis. A total of 80 dental stations were set up and supported by 800 volunteers, delivering services such as examinations, x-rays, cleanings, extractions, fillings, root canals on front teeth and premolars, and temporary partial dentures and repairs.

“We are thrilled with the overwhelming success of bringing the CTMOM Free Dental Clinic to New Britain for the first time,” said lisa perry-swain, executive director of the CFDO. “Serving 1,172 patients and providing over $1.2 million in care demonstrates the vital need for accessible dental care in our communities. Through the incredible generosity of our volunteers and partners, we delivered life-changing services to individuals and families in underserved communities. This clinic proved that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, deserves quality dental care.”

The next CTMOM Free Dental Clinic is scheduled to take place on 17–18 Apr 2026 at E.O. Smith High School in Mansfield.
