New Endodontic Duo Puts the ‘T’ in Teamwork

A cutting-edge file system blends flexibility with strength that—when paired with a calcium-releasing, bioceramic root canal sealer—can seal the deal for endo success

It’s always better to work as a team than to go it alone. No matter the situation—in life as well as in dentistry—teamwork always lands at the top as a leading indicator for success. SS White certainly had that in mind with its recent launch of a rotary file system and endodontic sealer designed to lay the groundwork for successful root canal treatments.

Strong, Flexible File System

A cutting-edge rotary file system, EXIMIA7 files offer increased resistance to cyclic fatigue and are manufactured with heat-treated NiTi, a feature that increases strength and flexibility, reduces shape memory, preserves canal anatomy during shaping, and allows clinicians to easily follow the canal as they shape.

Available in 3 lengths—21, 25, and 29 mm—the files feature a maximum flute diameter of 1 mm to allow for minimally invasive preps. EXIMIA7 files are offered in both a .04 and .06 constant taper with variable pitch. With ISO tip sizes from 17 to 45, EXIMIA7 files also feature a parabolic cross-section noncutting tip designed to maximize cutting efficiency. EXIMIA7 is a complete file system that includes matching paper and gutta-percha points.

A Pure Seal That’s Ready to Go

The second member of SS White’s newly launched endodontic team is PURE-Ca-SEAL, a premixed bioceramic root canal sealer that optimizes tissue recovery time by releasing calcium ions to stimulate tissue regeneration. This helps encourage better sealing, increased integration with surrounding tissues, and more successful patient outcomes.

With a high alkaline pH of 12, PURE-Ca-SEAL promotes superior bactericidal action, while its low solubility allows it to hermetically seal the root canal system. Its hydrophilic properties are particularly suited for setting in a moist environment, and its biocompatibility makes it a strong choice for modern root canal treatments.

Fast Ion Release, Improved Healing

Ready to use and resin-free, the sealer is also highly radiopaque and contains zirconium oxide, a unique radiopacifier that does not promote tooth staining. A small particle size offers superior handling and increased reactivity, promoting faster release of calcium and hydroxide ions, both of which are linked to the healing process of endodontic lesions. Compatible with any obturation technique, PURE-Ca-SEAL has excellent flowability to fill accessory canals.
