NewEra Hospitals has marked a significant step in healthcare delivery with the launch of its state-of-the-art dental care department in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, aimed at addressing the region’s growing oral health needs.
The newly opened department brings together modern infrastructure, advanced equipment, and a team of experienced specialists to provide comprehensive dental services. Treatments range from routine dental check-ups and preventive care to cosmetic dentistry, root canal procedures, dental implants, oral surgeries, and the management of complex oral and maxillofacial conditions.
Equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, modern dental chairs, precision instruments, and strict infection control protocols, the facility is designed to ensure high standards of safety, accuracy, and patient comfort across all age groups.
The department was inaugurated by Shri Shashikant Chandekar, Senior Police Inspector, Vashi Police Station, in the presence of Dr. Vinod Vij, Senior Plastic Surgeon, and Dr. Kopal Vij, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Dental and oral health issues are increasingly common across age groups, with conditions such as tooth decay, gum disease, jaw pain, misaligned teeth, impacted wisdom teeth, oral infections, and facial trauma often left untreated until they become severe.
Factors including poor oral hygiene, lifestyle changes, stress, tobacco use, and delayed diagnosis have contributed to a rise in oral and maxillofacial disorders, which can affect overall health if ignored.
Addressing this concern, NewEra Hospitals has established a dedicated department focused on early diagnosis, preventive care, and timely treatment. “Oral health is closely linked to overall well-being but is often neglected until pain becomes severe,” said Dr. Kopal Vij. “Our aim is to promote preventive care and provide personalised treatment using advanced technology, while ensuring patients remain comfortable and informed throughout their care.”
Dr. Sunil Kutty, Director of NewEra Hospitals and Consultant Brain and Spine Surgeon, highlighted the integrated approach. “By bringing dental and oral maxillofacial services under one roof, we can manage complex cases more efficiently. Patients no longer need to visit multiple centres for different treatments,” he said.
Dr. Mataprasad B Gupta, Vice President and CEO of NewEra Hospitals, said the new department reinforces the hospital’s commitment to quality healthcare. He added that the initiative is expected to significantly benefit Navi Mumbai residents by making modern, reliable, and patient-centric dental and oral healthcare more accessible.
