North Carolina dental school gets $3.1 million grant to better care for patients with disabilities

The Health Resources and Services Administration granted the school the money, one of the largest grants in the dental school’s history.

The grant is a part of a broad five-year project addressing the needs of vulnerable populations. Dental students will learn how to improve care for patients with mental, emotional and behavioral challenges.
