Oklahoma enacts law requiring in-person exams for orthodontic treatments

Oklahoma legislators recently passed a bill requiring patients to complete an in-person exam with a dental professional before undergoing orthodontic treatment.

Senate Bill 669 goes into effect Jan. 1.

Oklahoma is the seventh state to pass such legislation, following Georgia, Nevada, Florida, Illinois, Utah and West Virginia.
