JESPER HATT, DDS In 2003, Dr. Hatt graduated from Aarhus University in Aarhus, Denmark. From 2007 to 2019, he and his wife, Helle Hatt, DDS, had their own fee-forservice practice focusing on comprehensive dentistry. In 2019 they founded AlignerService. com where their team of dentists work as in-house aligner experts online and serve customers in more than 12 different countries. Their services cover all aspects related to clear aligners and, in doing so, they were able to reduce clear aligner therapy chair time by up to 95%. |

Find out why Jesper Hatt, DDS, believes that Dentatus’ Complete IPR Solution: • Saves chair time and reduces clinician stress • Is more efficient and user-friendly than any other IPR system
About 13 years ago, we started using interproximal reduction (IPR) as part of our clear aligner
In search of something better, I found Dentatus Lamineer Tips. They were ideal for shaping fillings but too small to be used effectively for IPR.
Like any other dentist, I was tempted to try other solutions as they came to the market. For example, several machine-driven reciprocating systems work with short strips. However, in my opinion, all of these systems can be difficult to use when you want to control shaping of the tooth morphology. Especially when compared to my most recent discovery:
Dentatus IPR tips and the Profi n PDX handpiece. Dentatus IPR tips offer several advantages for clinicians, including the following: • The height of the diamond-covered tips is perfect for IPR procedures. • The reciprocating movement makes it easy to handle stripping and shaping the teeth, and the risk of cutting the gingiva, lips, or cheeks is eliminated almost completely. • The safe and easy handling combined with the intelligent color coding makes it easy to use so IPR can be delegated. • Whether you are performing anterior or posterior enamel reduction, Dentatus IPR tips are bliss to use compared to the alternatives.
To my knowledge, Profin PDX is the only handpiece that can switch freely between a free-moving position and a fixed position. In the free-moving position, the IPR tip automatically follows the shape of the teeth and slides into the approximal space. This is helpful when delegating IPR because it minimizes the risk of unintended damage to the teeth. In the fi xed position, the tip won’t rotate at all, so it’s easy to shape the tooth to the right morphology.
From a cost-benefi t perspective, the Dentatus IPR tips and the Profi n PDX handpiece are a great addon for the practice. If you do a lot of clear aligner treatments like we do, the tips will make your IPR procedures easier, faster, and more predictable. They also reduce chair time signifi cantly, which is a benefi t for you and your patients.
With the Complete IPR Solution by Dentatus you can delegate IPR safely to the team with proper training. The result is greater efficiency, increased profitability, and improved patient care.

treatment. At the time, IPR was extremely time consuming. We were using metal strips in combination with discs, so the procedure took ages and reduced the profitability of clear aligner therapy dramatically. We needed something more efficient.
