NeoBurr

From a pioneer in single-patient use dental burs, Microcopy’s NeoBurr is an exceptionally high-quality line of tungsten carbide burs featuring a blended-neck design for added strength and durability

Find out why Craig Vinkovich, DDS, in North Royalton, OH, believes that Microcopy’s NeoBurrs:

• Provide superior strength and are consistently reliable

• Help keep his patients safe

Just like you, life in my operatory is more hectic than ever these days, and none of us has time forneoburr instruments that fail in the middle of a procedure. Over the years, I have tried just about every bur on the market, and for my money, Microcopy NeoBurrs are the most reliable.

Most burs tend to break at the weld, but that can’t happen with NeoBurrs because they have a blended-neck design, making them one piece. In my experience with these burs, I’ve never had them break while removing amalgam, never had them fail when removing composite, and I’ve never had any problems with drilling.

No Sterilization Concerns

The pandemic has heightened our concern for patient safety, so it’s an added advantage that NeoBurrs are single-patient use. I don’t have to worry about disinfection and crosscontamination. My staff isn’t wasting time trying to clean and disinfect burs, organize them, and restock our bur blocks.

Early in the pandemic, I had all my duct work cleaned in my office, installed air purifiers in all the rooms, and did many other things for my patients’ safety. I wanted to make sure that when people walked back into the office, they’d never have a reason to think that maybe I missed cleaning something. Using disposable burs is part of that effort, too.

Absolute Sharpness

I don’t think there’s any advantage to reusing a carbide. Anytime I begin a procedure, I always want to start with a sharp, fresh bur that I know has never been anywhere else. I know these burs are sharp and that I’m not generating any extra heat caused by a dull bur.

NeoBurrs are very durable and in my experience, they cut wonderfully. I use them for depth gauges when I’m doing crowns, and I’ve never found a reason to say, “Gee, I want to go to something else.”

Overall, NeoBurrs do exactly what I need them to do in my restorative procedures. I’ve been with Microcopy for a long time, and I would say that for the money NeoBurrs really are a great product.
