Planet DDS appoints two new vice-presidents to enhance customer experience

Provider of cloud-based, enterprise-grade dental software solutions Planet DDS has added two new vice-presidents to its leadership roster, scaling its customer team. Andrew Pullmann joins as vice-president of account management, and Bobby Spilka as vice-president of customer support.

These appointments support the Planet DDS mission to become a partner in growth for dental support organisations (DSOs) and multi-location group practices, anchored on providing tailored solutions and fostering deeper customer relationships.

The company is moving from a traditional customer success model to a tailored account management approach, allowing customers to benefit from more personalised, impactful recommendations.

“Our new strategic vision is cantered on being an even stronger partner in growth for our customers,” said Planet DDS COO Matt Zelen. “With the addition of a new vice-president of account management and vice-president of customer support, we are focusing on delivering faster, more impactful outcomes to build deeper partnerships, and help customers unlock the full value of our solutions.”

Andrew Pullmann will lead the newly formed account management team, with the goal of creating a more seamless experience for customers. Before joining Planet DDS, Pullmann worked as the senior director of customer success at Cobalt and the senior director of strategic customer success at UserTesting. He brings experience in building and leading customer success teams, driving customer retention and revenue growth, and implementing scalable processes for strategic account management.

By unifying customer data and aligning customers with dedicated account managers, Pullmann aims to provide Planet DDS customers with more tailored solutions to address their unique business objectives. This initiative is expected to improve efficiency, increase practice revenue, and simplify customer interactions.

“Our formula for growth is rooted in helping our customers achieve their business goals,” said Pullmann. “We aim to maximise efficiency and revenue for each practice by understanding their specific challenges and providing actionable solutions.”

In addition, Bobby Spilka will oversee the development of a customer-centric, tiered support model to enhance service-level agreements (SLAs) and self-service options. Previously, Spilka worked as the vice-president of global customer support at Quadient and was the director of global digital support at OpenText. He has knowledge in leading large, customer-facing technical support teams; managing Software as a Service (SaaS), on-premises, and managed service products, and optimising digital support operations.

By integrating AI-powered tools and implementing a streamlined ticketing system, Spilka will ensure faster response times, proactive issue resolution, and a smoother customer experience. These efforts will allow customers to address simple issues independently while ensuring that complex needs are resolved by Planet DDS’s support team.

“Our goal is to redefine the support experience by making it more intuitive, efficient, and customer-focused,” said Spilka. “We are empowering customers with the resources they need to resolve issues quickly and easily.”
