Providing a protective coating to tooth surfaces by occluding tubules with calcium fluoride crystals, its formula does not contain ethyl alcohol or colophony, which reduces the potential of soft-tissue irritation or rosin-based allergies.
Designed to securely adhere to the tooth surface for several hours while releasing fluoride ions up to 24 hours, Profisil is transparent and colorless after application for optimal esthetics. A single-dose blister pack contains sufficient varnish to cover both arches and can be applied in any direction to all tooth surfaces—migrating even to difficult-to-access areas. Its nonclumping formula can be applied even to wet teeth, offering patients a smooth mouthfeel and refreshing lubrication.
