Senex Energy will continue supporting free Dental Services in Queensland’s Wandoan region through its partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) (Queensland Section), marking the third consecutive year of the initiative.
The program funds the RFDS Mobile Dental Service, which provides free treatment to residents in remote communities where access to dental care is often limited.
Senex Energy Community Relations Manager Trevor Robertson said the company is pleased to continue bringing the service back to Wandoan.
“Wandoan has always supported Senex, and we want to play our part in ensuring this community continues to thrive,” Robertson said.
“It really puts a smile on our faces to be able to return Wandoan’s support in such a practical way.”
Since launching 13 years ago, the RFDS Mobile Dental Service has delivered more than 140,000 treatments across 26 communities in Queensland.
Katherine Ash, Chief Fundraising and Engagement Officer at the RFDS (Queensland Section), said Senex’s support plays an important role in sustaining the service.
“We truly value partnerships like the one we have with Senex because we can see the real benefit of their support on the ground,” Ash said.
“Our Mobile Dental Unit provides a world-class service to areas where access to oral health professionals can be difficult.”
She added that the organization looks forward to continuing its collaboration with Senex to improve oral health outcomes for residents across the Wandoan region.
