At the invitation of the Excellence in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (EODO), Smartee Denti-Technology held a specialised masterclass at the Dental Education Centre (DEC) in Sydney on 7 Feb 2026. The session attracted 80 dental professionals, with 60 attending in person and 20 joining online, to explore advanced protocols for managing complex jaw discrepancies using Smartee’s proprietary Mandibular Advancement Repositioning Technology (MART).

Since 2019, Smartee has been at the forefront of clear aligner innovation with MART. This approach addresses a key gap in the sector: while conventional solutions often focus primarily on dental alignment, MART aims to treat the underlying aetiology by repositioning the mandible to its physiological position, restoring both function and facial balance through simultaneous orthopaedic and orthodontic correction.

With more than 100,000 cases worldwide to date, the technology has demonstrated clinical success in managing complex jaw discrepancies. It represents a significant development in modern clear aligner therapy and reflects Smartee’s strong research and development capabilities.

The Australian clear aligner market is dynamic and expanding. Market observations indicate strong patient-driven demand, with many Australian adults actively seeking to improve their smiles and open to treatment. This high level of awareness, combined with a preference for aesthetic solutions, continues to drive growth in the local clear aligner sector.

The Sydney masterclass engaged a substantial number of first-time participants. Many attendees expressed interest in further developing their understanding of MART protocols, recognising the value of broadening their clinical capabilities to better support patients with complex jaw discrepancies.

Garie Zhou, international business development director, commented: “Australia is a strategically important market for Smartee, and we are committed to long-term growth here. Our approach is grounded in rigorous academic exchange and meaningful clinical education rather than purely commercial expansion. We aim to work alongside local professionals to raise standards in clear aligner treatment.”
